Good morning to all my respected teachers and dear friends.
मेरे सभी सम्मानित शिक्षकों और प्रिय मित्रों को सुप्रभात।

I wish you all a very happy Independence Day.
मैं आप सभी को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएँ देता हूँ।

Today, we are here to celebrate this auspicious occasion. This was the day in 1947 when we got independence; when we got freedom from the British rule.
आज, हम इस शुभ अवसर का जश्न मनाने के लिए यहाँ हैं। 1947 में यही दिन था जब हमें आजादी मिली; जब हमें ब्रिटिश शासन से  स्वतंत्रता मिली।

We are fortunate that our forefathers fought for us and gave us a land of peace. A peaceful life that we are living today is just because of their sacrifices.
हम भाग्यशाली हैं कि हमारे पूर्वज हमारे लिए लडे और हमें सुख शांति से भरा देश दिया। जो शांतिपूर्ण जीवन आज हम जी रहे हैं बस उन्हीं के बलिदान के कारण है।

So many great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose and many others devoted their whole life to the service of Nation.
महात्मा गांधी, भगत सिंह, सुभाष चंद्र बोस और कई अन्य महान नेताओं ने राष्ट्र की सेवा में अपना पूरा जीवन समर्पित किया।

Independence Day Speech # 1 Continues…

Today, India is the largest democracy in the world. We are one of the most emerging economies in the world and developing rapidly in the field of technology, education, sports and many others; which couldn’t be possible without freedom.
आज, भारत दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र है। हम दुनिया की सबसे उभरती अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में से एक हैं और प्रौद्योगिकी, शिक्षा, खेल आदि के क्षेत्र में तेजी से विकास कर रहे हैं; जो स्वतंत्रता के बिना संभव नहीं हो सकता था।

So, at the end of my speech, I would like to say that we must be proud to be Indian. Not to forget, they sacrificed their lives to get us freedom; and now it’s our time, it’s time to take oath to do something significant for our country.
तो अपने भाषण के अंत में, मैं यह कहना चाहूँगा कि हमें भारतीय होने पर गर्व होना चाहिए। ये न भूलें कि उन्होंने हमें स्वतंत्रता दिलाने के लिए अपने जीवन का त्याग किया; और अब हमारा दौर है, अपने देश के लिए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण करने के लिए शपथ लेने की हमारी बारी है।

What we are now and what we have now is all given by our forefathers; now we have to ask ourselves what we are going to give to our coming generations.
आज हम जो भी हैं और जो भी आज हमारे पास है, हमारे पूर्वजों द्वारा दिया गया है; अब हमें खुद से पूछना है कि हम अपनी आने वाली पीढ़ियों को क्या देने वाले हैं।

So let’s celebrate this occasion with joy and remember their sacrifices.
तो आइए इस अवसर को खुशी से मनाएँ और उनके बलिदान याद रखें।

Good morning to the respected chief guest, principal sir, teachers, parents, and all my dear friends.
आदरणीय मुख्य अतिथि, प्रधानाचार्य, शिक्षक, माता- पिता और मेरे सभी प्रिय मित्रों को सुप्रभात।

Today, we are here to celebrate the independence day of our nation.
आज, हम अपने राष्ट्र के स्वतंत्रता दिवस का जश्न मनाने के लिए यहां हैं।

This day is the most important day for all of us because, on this day in 1947, we got independence from the British rule.
यह दिन हम सभी के लिए सबसे महत्वपूर्ण दिन है, क्योंकि 1947 को इसी दिन, हमें ब्रिटिश शासन से स्वतंत्रता मिली थी।

Great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose and many others devoted their entire life for the Independence of our country.
महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों जैसे महात्मागांधी, भगतसिंह, सुभाष चंद्र बोस और कई अन्य लोगों ने हमारे देश की स्वतंत्रता के लिए अपना पूरा जीवन समर्पित कर दिया।

Their sacrifice can never be forgotten.
उनके बलिदान को कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता।

They’re not with us anymore but their ideas remain all around us, in our constitutional framework as well as our lives.
 वे अब हमारे साथ नहीं हैं, लेकिन उनके विचार हमारे चारों ओर हैं, हमारे संवैधानिक ढांचे के साथ-साथ हमारे जीवन में भी।

We are fortunate that we are born in an independent country and that’s why we have our own fundamental rights.
हम भाग्यशाली हैं कि हम एक स्वतंत्र देश में पैदा हुए हैं और इसीलिए हमारे अपने मौलिक अधिकार हैं।

We can now speak against the evil without fear.
अब हम बिना किसी डर के बुराई के खिलाफ बोल सकते हैं।

Our independence is priceless. We must respect it. We must also respect the soldiers fighting on borders to protect our nation.
हमारी स्वतंत्रता अमूल्य है।हमें इसका सम्मान करना चाहिए। हमें अपने राष्ट्र की रक्षा के लिए सीमा पर लड़ने वाले सैनिकों का भी सम्मान करना चाहिए।

At last, I would like to say that we are proud to be Indians. Our country is the best. We love it.
अंत में, मैं कहना चाहूंगा कि हमें भारतीय होने पर गर्व है।हमारा देश सर्वश्रेष्ठ है। हमें बहुत पसंद है।

Introduction: The nation hums the songs of patriotism on the 15th of August every year since India attained independence in 1947. The year is a landmark of success in our history. It’s always a scenic thing to gaze at Tiranga flaring high like a skyscraper, with rose petals lying on its feet. The nation bows down in respect of the nation, her pride, her integrity. Our education system reminds us that the mother India is our genesis and her liberation, her independence is a thing of ecstasy.
परिचय: देश हर साल 15 अगस्त को देशभक्ति के गीत गाता है क्योंकि भारत ने 1947 में स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त की थी। यह वर्ष हमारे इतिहास में सफलता का एक ऐतिहासिक दिन है। तिरंगे को लहराते हुए देखना मानो एक गगनचुंबी इमारत की तरह और  इसके पैरों में गुलाब की पंखुड़ियाँ का पडा होना हमेशा ही एक सुंदर दृश्य लगता है। राष्ट्र उसके गौरव, उसकी अखंडता के सम्मान में झुकता है।  हमारी शिक्षा प्रणाली हमें याद दिलाती है कि भारत माता से ही हमारी उत्पत्ति है और उसकी मुक्ति, उसकी स्वतंत्रता परमानंद की चीज है।

Significance of the Independence Day: India attained Independence at midnight, 11 PM on 14th August. Though officially we celebrate and commemorate it on 15th August and call it Independence Day. The day reminds all Indians of fervor, the bloodshed, and the stories that India’s history has witnessed. The day reminds us of our oppression and liberation.
स्वतंत्रता दिवस का महत्व: भारत ने 14 अगस्त की आधी रात, 11 बजे स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त की।  हालांकि आधिकारिक तौर पर हम इसे 15 अगस्त को मनाते हैं और इसे स्वतंत्रता दिवस कहते हैं। यह दिन सभी भारतीयों के उत्साह, रक्तपात, उन कहानियों की याद दिलाता है जो भारत के इतिहास की गवाह हैं।  यह दिन हमें अपने उत्पीड़न और मुक्ति की याद दिलाता है।

The essential freedom fighters: It’s true that when India was wailing in the clutches of the British government, raging and demanding freedom, it wasn’t just one person but the entire folk. Though, we remember only a few faces of the struggle because they were visible in the fight and hence stood apart and out. People like Mahatma Gandhi, Mangal Pandey, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, B.R Ambedkar, Sardar Vallbhai Patel, and many more, became the main face of it. They’re not with us anymore but their ideas remain all around us, in our constitutional framework as well as our lives.
महत्वपूर्ण स्वतंत्रता सेनानी: यह सच है कि जब भारत ब्रिटिश सरकार के चंगुल में फँसा हुआ था, उग्र था और आजादी की मांग कर रहा था, तो यह सिर्फ कोई एक व्यक्ति नहीं बल्कि पूरा देश था।  हालांकि, हमें संघर्ष के केवल कुछ ही चेहरे याद हैं क्योंकि वो ही इस लड़ाई में प्रत्यक्ष रूप से सामने आये और इसीलिए उन्हें हम जानते हैं। महात्मा गांधी, मंगल पांडे, बाल गंगाधर तिलक, बीआर अंबेडकर, सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल और बहुत से लोग, इसका मुख्य चेहरा बने। वे अब हमारे साथ नहीं हैं, लेकिन उनके विचार हमारे चारों ओर बने हुए हैं, हमारे संवैधानिक ढांचे के साथ-साथ हमारे जीवन में भी।

Take pride in your country & rejoice in the earned Independence: India is the largest democracy in the world, and soon it’s going to be the country with the largest population too. India is a sovereign, secular, and socialist state. The nation is colored with multiculturalism. One should take pride in the cultures and diversities of India, and shall never forget the struggle of Independence. The story of independence would keep the spirit of every young blood high. It’s necessary to rejoice in the earned independence and never let it go.
अपने देश पर गर्व करें और अर्जित स्वतंत्रता का आनंद लें: भारत दुनिया में सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र है, और जल्द ही यह सबसे बड़ी आबादी का देश भी बनने जा रहा है।  भारत एक संप्रभु, धर्मनिरपेक्ष और समाजवादी राज्य है। राष्ट्र बहुसंस्कृतिवाद से रंगा है। किसी को भारत की संस्कृतियों और विविधताओं पर गर्व करना चाहिए, और स्वतंत्रता के संघर्ष को कभी नहीं भूलना चाहिए। स्वतंत्रता की कहानी प्रत्येक युवा रक्त की भावना को उच्च बनाए रखेगी।  अर्जित स्वतंत्रता का आनंद लेना आवश्यक है और इसे कभी भी जाने न दें।

Conclusion: Embrace your country with its History, its people, its languages, cities and villages. Know that you’re important to your country and vice versa. The hard earned freedom is your chance to make the best out of it and make nation, India proud.
निष्कर्ष: अपने देश को इसके इतिहास, इसके लोगों, इसकी भाषाओं, शहरों और गांवों के साथ गले लगाएँ। इस बात को समझें कि आप अपने देश के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं और देश भी आपके लिए। कड़ी मेहनत से मिली इस आजादी का फायदा लो, देश का गौरव बढाओ, आपके पास ये मौका है।
