Factor (n.) – फैक्टर – गुणक / कारण – Divisor / Cause
- दो, तीन, चार और छः बारह के गुणक हैं।
Two, three, four and six are factors of twelve. - कंपनी की विफलता में खराब योजना एक प्रमुख कारण थी।
Poor planning was a major factor for the failure of the company.
Fade (vi.) – फेड – मुरझाना / बेरंग होना / धूमिल होना – Recede / Decay
- फूलों को अगर सही मात्रा में पानी और धूप न मिले तो वे बेरंग होकर पेड़ से झड़ जाते हैं।
If the flowers don’t get water and sunlight in the right amount, then their colour gets faded away, and they fall off the tree. - एक बार जब बचपन चला जाता है तो बस उसकी यादें ही रह जाती हैं जो धीरे – धीरे करके ग़ायब होते रहती हैं।
Once childhood is gone, then only its memories remain, which gradually keeps on fading.
Fair (adj.& n.) – फेयर – गोरा / निष्पक्ष – White / Just
- आजकल गोरी त्वचा को सौंदर्य का प्रमाण माना जाता है।

Fascinate (vt.) – फैसिनेट – दिल जीत लेना / खुश होना – Captivate / Enchant
- जब पिंटू अपने प्रिय अभिनेता से मिला तो वह बहुत ज़्यादा खुश हो गया।
When Pintu met his favourite actor, he got fascinated by it. - उसने गरीब और बेसहारा लोगों को उनके घर पहुँचाकर जो मदद की, उससे उन्होंने सबका दिल जीत लिया।
He helped the poor and helpless people to reach their home, and all were fascinated by this act of his.
Fast (adj. & n.) – फास्ट – तेजी से / उपवास – Quickly / Abstaintion
- आजकल दुनिया तेजी से बदल रही है।
The world is changing fast nowadays. - महिलाएं करवा चौथ का व्रत रखती हैं।
The women keep fast on Karva Chauth.
Fatal (n.) – फेटल – घातक / जानलेवा – Dangerous
- अगर सुरेश ने हेलमेट न पहना होता तो उसके साथ हुई दुर्घटना जानलेवा भी साबित हो सकती थी।
If Suresh hadn’t worn the helmet, the accident with him could have turned out to be a fatal one. - एड्स एक बहुत ही घातक बीमारी जिसका इलाज अभी तक नहीं मिला है।
AIDS is a fatal disease whose cure has still not been found yet.
Fate (n.) – फेट – भाग्य / किस्मत / नसीब – Luck / Fortune
- किस्मत को दोष देने से कभी कुछ नहीं होता, किस्मत भी उसी का साथ देती है जो बहादुर और मेहनती होते हैं।
There is no use blaming your fate; fate also favours the one who is hardworking and dedicated. - रश्मि ने इतनी मेहनत कर दी कि उसकी किस्मत को भी हार मानकर उसे सफल बनाना ही पड़ा।
Rashmi worked so hard that her fate also had to give up and make her successful.
Fault (n.) – फॉल्ट – गलती / भूल – Mistake / Error
- जब मीनाक्षी ने फॉर्म गलत भर के जमा कर दिया उसके बाद उसे एहसास हुआ कि अपना नाम लिखने में उसने गलती कर दी।
When Minakshi submitted the form with a mistake, then, later on, she realised that she had made a fault in writing her name. - अगर गलती हमारी तरफ से हुई हो तो सारे गिले – शिकवे भुला कर हमें सामने से माफ़ी माँगनी चाहिए।
If we are the ones responsible for the fault, then we should apologize first by forgetting all the complaints and grouse.
Faulty (adj.) – फॉल्टी – दोष-पूर्ण / गड़बड़ / ख़राब – Problem / Erroneous
- अभी एक फ़ैक्टरी का भंडाफोड़ हुआ है जो असली सामान लेकर उसके बदले ख़राब सामान से उसे बदल कर लोगों को चूना लगा रही थी।
Recently a factory has been exposed, which took the genuine or real material and exchanged it with the faulty one to do forgery with the people. - इतने महंगे मोबाइल में अगर तुम ख़राब चार्जर का इस्तेमाल करोगे तो इसका बहुत बड़ा नुकसान झेलना पड़ेगा।
If you use a faulty charger along with such an expensive mobile, then you will have to pay heavily for that.
Feasible (adj.) – फीज़िबल – होने के योग्य / सार्थक – Practical, Possible
- जब अक्षत ने एक काल्पनिक सुझाव दिया तो उसके बॉस ने उसे कोई सार्थक उपाय सोचने को बोला।
When Akshat gave a hypothetical suggestion, then hiis boss asked him to suggest a more feasible option. - हमेशा प्लान ऐसा बनाना चाहिए जो होने के योग्य हो, न कि कोई ऐसा जो बस दिखने में अच्छा लगे और उस पर अमल करना असंभव ही हो।
Always plans should be made in such a way which is possible to be done rather than the one which looks good but isn’t feasible enough.
Feeble-(adj.) – फीबल – कमज़ोर – Weak
- जीवन में संघर्ष करना सीखना होगा क्योंकि इस दुनिया में कमज़ोर के लिए कोई जगह नहीं है।

Fictitious (adj.) – फिक्टिशस – काल्पनिक – Hypothetical / Imaginary

Forcible (adj.) – फोर्सिबल – बल के साथ / जबरन / ज़बरदस्ती – Dominant / Powerful
- कई बार अपनी चाह न होते हुए भी, जबरन मौके की नज़ाकत को देखते हुए, हमें कभी न सोचे हुए काम भी करने पड़ जाते हैं।
Many times when we don’t desire, forcibly, while keeping an eye on the situation, we have to do things that we had never even thought of. - मनीष ने इतने ज़्यादा ताकत के साथ दरवाज़े को खींचा कि दरवाज़े का हैंडल ही टूट के उखड गया।

Forefather (n.) – फोरफादर – पूर्वज – Ancestor
- कई सारी ख़ूबियाँ हमें हमारे पूर्वजों और पुरखों से मिलती हैं जिनमे से कुछ का हमें एहसास भी नहीं होता।
We inherit many traits from our forefathers, and out of them, there are many which we don’t realise. - जो पर्यावरण हमें अपने पूर्वजों से दान में मिला है, उसे हमें सहेज कर रखना चाहिए ताकि आने वाली पीढ़ी को भी उसका फायदा मिले।

Foreword (n.) – फोरवर्ड – प्रस्तावना / भूमिका – Preface / Introduction
- किसी भी किताब के पहले पन्ने पर उसकी प्रस्तावना ही लिखी होती है।
The foreword is mostly written on the first page of any book. - वार्षिक समारोह के दौरान प्रधानाध्यपक ने अपनी भाषण की शुरुआत प्रस्तावना से की।
During the annual function, the Principal began his speech with a foreword.
Forfeit (vt.) – फोरफीट – अधिकार खो बैठना अक्सर दंड के रूप में – Penalty
- टैक्स न भर पाने के दंड के रूप में सेठ जमनादास को अपना व्यापार और दुकान सरकार को सौंपना पड़ेगा।
As a penalty for not paying the taxes, businessman Jamnadas has to forfeit his business and property to the government. - भ्रष्टाचार उजागर होने के बाद मंत्री को उनके घर से निकाला गया और उनकी सारी संपत्ति सरकार ने ज़ब्त कर ली।
After the corruption was exposed, the minister was thrown out of his house, and all the property got forfeited to the government.
Forge (n.) – फोर्ज – जालसाज़ी के लिए नकली काम करना – Fraud
- जब बैंक ने पड़ताल की तो पता लगा कि दिनेश के आधे से ज़्यादा कागज़ात पर उसके हस्ताक्षर की नक़ल मारी गयी है।
When the bank ordered a probe then it was revealed that half of Dinesh’s signatures on the documents were forged. - आज कल कोई भी सामान खरीदने से पहले, उसकी अच्छे से जांच परख करनी चाहिए, क्या पता किसी ने जालसाज़ी करके बेवकूफ़ बना दिया हो।
Nowadays, while buying a product, it should be checked thoroughly, who knows someone might be forging to make a fool of others.
Forgive (v.) – फॉर्गिव – माफ करना / क्षमा करना – Excuse / Ignore / Apologize

Fortunate (adj.)– फॉर्चुनेट – भाग्यशाली / अहोभाग्य – Lucky / Privileged

Forward (adj. & v.) – फॉरवर्ड – आगे / अग्रेषित करना – Front / To send onward
- बस में आगे की सीटें महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित होती हैं।
